2.1 Local Storage

To improve your experience, we use your browser's local storage (LocalStorage) for:

• Saving your current quiz progress
• Remembering your theme preferences (light or dark mode)
• Keeping results from your previous quizzes

2.2 IP address and abuse prevention

Some features are open without an account. To stop the same person leaving ten reviews on the same test or voting several times on the same dilemma, we process one technical item:

• IP address: used only to recognise a submission already made and block duplicates
• Date of submission: to apply that limit over time

2.3 Data collected via download forms

When you request free content (e-book, guide), we collect the following information with your explicit consent:

• First name: To personalise our communications
• Email address: To send you the requested content and, with your consent, occasional informational communications
• Request subject: To identify the content you requested

2.4 Site audience measurement

To know which pages are read and which are not, we count visits ourselves, without going through an outside service. Each page displayed records three pieces of information, and nothing else:

• The page address: to know which one was viewed, and in which language
• A randomly drawn visit number: to link together the pages of a single visit. It disappears after 30 minutes without a new page and is never reused: if you come back tomorrow you are a new visit, and nothing makes it possible to connect it to the previous one
• The site you came from: its domain name only (a search engine, a social network), never the full address nor the words you typed

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Quiz Couple uses Google Analytics 4 to measure the site's audience, and the ad network The Moneytizer to display advertising. The network works with advertising partners listed in our ads.txt file. These services place cookies on your browser.

• Consent is collected by a platform certified under IAB TCF v2.2, which passes your choice, purpose by purpose, to each of the partners. No analytics or advertising cookie is placed before you answer
• If you decline, no browsing data is collected and the ads shown are not personalised. Our own audience measurement, described in section 2.4, keeps working: it uses neither cookies nor personal data
• Analytics data is anonymised and cannot be used to identify you personally
• If you accept, the advertising partners may use your browsing to personalise the ads. You can adjust this at any time from your Google ad settings

We implement the following security measures to protect your browsing:

• HTTPS connection: All communications between your browser and our site are encrypted
• Secure database: Technical data is stored securely with strict access policies
• Data minimization: We only collect data strictly necessary for the service to function
• Secure source code: We follow best practices in secure web development

• Right of access: Obtain confirmation of whether your data is being processed
• Right of rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data

6. Data hosting and processors

The site itself is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States). The data you send us is stored in a database managed by Supabase, acting as a processor under the GDPR. This covers the first name and comment you leave in a review, messages sent through the contact form, the email address and first name provided when requesting free content, and the anti-duplicate technical data described in 2.2. Quiz plays are counted in a form that cannot identify you: only the test name and the language are recorded, never your answers. None of these processors is allowed to use this data for its own purposes.
